While in school at U of T Sarah worked with the Varsity Men’s soccer and Varsity Women’s Rugby; accompanying the Women’s Rugby team to the CIS championships in Halifax. She then moved onto Sheridan College for Athletic Therapy where she was given the opportunity to work with the Athletic Therapist at Upper Canada College. This experience was invaluable because it allowed her to manage the athletes’ injuries from the field all the way through the clinical rehabilitative process.
Since graduating in 2008 she worked primarily in Markham at a sport therapy clinic and has been a proud member of the TRCC team since 2015. She treats patients of all activity levels from the professional athlete to “everyday athlete” and “weekend warrior”. Sarah focuses on uncovering the underlying cause of pain and in order to best treat the current problem. She believes very strongly that educating the patient is the key to best patient care and longstanding treatment results.
Sarah spent 7 years as the Head Athletic Therapist with the Toronto Saracens Rugby Club and 5 years as the Athletic Therapist with the Toronto Aeros Women’s hockey program. She continued to assist with the Aeros, running their concussion management and some on-site game therapy for several years.
Sarah is very excited to be assisting TRCC with its concussion management. She treats concussion patients using current and evidence-based practice methods while always considering their individual needs.
After becoming a mom, Sarah became very interested in helping new parents and babies reach optimal health and wellness. This led to her completing additional training in the field of Infant and Child Massage Therapy.
In her spare time she likes to be home with her family, which includes her dog Sarge and cat Minnie.
