Melissa Thompson began her post-secondary education by graduating from CDI College as a Physiotherapy Assistant. After working at Scarborough Grace Hospital division for several years, she decided to broaden her education and pursue personal training. While working as a personal trainer, Melissa graduated from Centennial College in the Massage Therapy Advanced Diploma Program and became registered with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario.
At Centennial College she gained knowledge and experience through weekly clinics at their educational facility for the general public. She has been involved in several outreaches offering massage therapy in different settings such as sports rehab at University of Toronto, oncology at Scarborough General Hospital, pediatrics and obstetrics at Woman’s College, as well as voluntary fundraiser events and health and fitness conferences.
Melissa has been practicing massage therapy for over 7 years and her considerable experience has spanned working with infants to high-performance athletes. Through education, exercise prescription and collaborating with the team at Thornhill Rehabilitation and Chiropractic Centre, Melissa is focused on achieving the deliverance of optimal health to all her clients.
