Annemarie began her academic journey to study health sciences and wellness at Humber College where she obtained a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion. While she was a student at Humber she worked as a personal trainer at Humber College Fitness Center where she had the opportunity to learn the art and science of exercise prescription. From here, she developed a passion for injury prevention and management. After graduating from Humber College, Annemarie decided to peruse her studies in Kinesiology at York University. While completing her Bachelor Degree she was accepted into the Athletic Therapy Certificate Program where she was given the opportunity to work with various active populations in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries. As an athletic therapy student she worked at a various sports medicine clinics such as the MacIntosh Clinic at The University of Toronto, Sports Performance Center in Vaughan and the Gormen Shore clinic at York University. In addition to clinic work she was the Head Student Therapist for both the York Women’s Varisty Soccer team and the Women’s Varsity Hockey Team. Upon graduating York University she has continued to work as the Head Athletic therapist for Vaughan Soccer Club and with the Toronto Aeros Women’s hockey program. Because of her background in exercise prescription, Annemarie takes special interest in treating the body as a whole and understanding the importance of the balance between prevention, management, and performance that contribute to optimal health. She is very excited to be a part of the TRCC team to ensure the highest quality of rehabilitative care for patients

Here's an example of what just one session of Fascial Remodeling can do! This before & after are an hour apart.

RMT Asha started working with this client to prep her for breast reduction surgery. They did 2 prep sessions prior to the reduction, and this treatment was their first one since the surgery 3 weeks ago.

The client reported feeling more breast congestion on her left side post op, but as you can see her entire torso was congested (1). Her whole right side was pulled up (3) and rotated (2), and most of her weight was on her left leg (4). After the treatment, the torso girth reduced, her rotation relaxed (see the belly button position), and her weight was evenly distributed on both legs.

Breast work was modified according to the client's current activity level, surgeon's recommendation, and scar quality.
